If the dome is coming unscrewed from the ceiling or the pole is slipping on the ceiling during use, it's usually an installation or use error.

The usual reason the dome comes loose from the ceiling and slips during use is because the adjuster bar on the pole was not tightened enough during installation to provide adequate pressure between the ceiling and floor.

The other reason this could happen is because the locking nut or locking screws on the adjuster bar are not tightened down in the right location or tightened enough.

Each brand makes their pole differently so it's important to follow the manufacturer installation instructions.

Generally speaking, almost all brands of dance poles have an adjuster bar.   This is the part that tightens to put the pressure between the ceiling and floor.   Be sure your pole is beneath a ceiling stud and then be sure the adjuster bar is good and tight.   You should be able to give the pole a good hard yank without it moving before use.

Also be sure any locking mechanisms like locking nuts or hex screws are tightened down in the right location according to your installation instructions for your model of dance pole.   It's the locking nut or locking hex screws on the adjuster bar that act as a safety mechanism to keep the pole from unscrewing from the ceiling.  Tightening them down in the wrong location or not tightening them enough can cause problem like joints unscrewing or poles slipping on the ceiling during use.

Use errors happen when people use the dance pole incorrectly. No pole on the market is really designed to withstand someone running and jumping at the pole (although people do this all the time), a ceiling mount will help the pole withstand this type of horizontal impact if you are going to keep doing it : )

Hopefully this helps : )
